poor operators will lose their efforts for the sake of this change, pitty on principals who will have all this supervisional and executive roles to achieve. it is a lot of efforts. I can imagine how hard to combine it all in one person as an educator who live the independent school experience.

i have noticed recently many changes occur on the SEC policies to cover all the aspects of criticism of this reform. i am not sure how will this effect the education process, but for sure, it means that efferts and trials to achieve the best of qatar is underway.

I see this move is in the sake of education reform although, the issue of license withdrewen i do not agree with, i hope Qatar can make use of their expertise in the reform

I strongly believe that the new rules will limit creativity since the whole idea of the reform is to avoid the old mentality in education; therefore by insisting on individuals with professional background in education means we are back to square one dealing with the same dinosaurs. I had faith on the reform with promote entrepreneurship energy among those who thrive on challenges to make a difference in shaping young minds. With all do respect to those on the education field, but the previous system did not allow them to blossom and develop the required skill set required to advance the education system. I am quite sure there are few cases which have those skills needed but the majority will suffer in the process of self development to achieve the required results. I think soon will find out.

I think the decision to have one Operator/Principal is better because their is close monitoring of the learning process and the vision and mission becomes clearer when the Leadership is in-house and physically there to promote high standards within the school. However I do feel that their are too many constraints on the school so that some autonomy and creativity will be lost. I am concerned about ending up with the previous education mentality where everyone is doing the same thing and their is not individuality. The reform is good for the country but we must look at the sustainability of the reform movement and how certain decision affect the process negatively.

Change in management is good as this will be able to bring about new improvements to the school and help make sure that earlier mistakes won't happen again. However, is it a good idea to put the task of managing the whole school in the hands of only one individual? They say that two minds are better than one. I think it would probably be a whole lot better if the operator/principal convened with the rest of the faculty to discuss improvements that are to be done, problems that the school are going through... This way, the whole school won't just be handled by a single person.
