Over 140 students at various levels of study, were honored for their impressive work, along with two teachers and two schools on Qatar’s annual Education Excellence Day (EED) held on November 11, 2007 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel under the patronage of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Board of Trustees is the senior authority of the award. The Board of Trustees approves the selection criteria and makes the final decisions on those that will be honoured and reports directly to His Highness the Heir Apparent.
New this year was the award for excellent educational research project. The award recognizes the importance of using scientific research to uncover new ideas and find solutions to real problems.
Education Excellence was first formally celebrated in 2006. This year’s award ceremony took place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha.
