SEC Chairperson Issues Decree on School Discipline and Morals

His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Heir Apparent, Chairperson of the Supreme Education Council, has issued a decision on discipline and morals in different schools in Qatar. The decision stipulates that all schools, whether independent or government-run, should unify the students uniform by implementing the Qatari dress with effect from the academic year 2008-2009. The decision excludes schools in the private sector but requires them to choose uniforms which conform to the norms of the Qatari society and the nature of education.
