Cheating in QCEA tests

A series of complaints have been received through the radio program “Watani Al-Habeeb Sabah elkhair” about cases cheating in the just concluded Qatar Comprehensive Educational Assessment (QCEA) tests in some independent schools.

The information indicates that some of independent schools’ teachers of (science, mathematics, Arabic and English) provide students with ready-made answers to the test questions. This shows a lack of awareness among the teachers and school administrations that allow such practices. Beside their lack of understanding of the educational objectives and strategy of QCEA test. They also do not understand the importance of these results in determining the educational policies of the State of Qatar.

Qatar Radio’s “Wattani Al-Habeeb Sabahelkhair” hosted Mr. Adel Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed, the Evaluation Institute director to explain what kind of procedures and the action that the Institute intends to take in such a case.
