The Higher Education Institute (HEI) of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) has announced a list of 675 names of the best universities and colleges from around the world including the Education City universities. The list, which is updated every two years selects the best universities for scholarship recipients based on international ranking criteria to achieve the best academic and research outputs and allows parents to choose the best option for their children.

Among them, 349 universities offering 164 different disciplines are based in the United States while 92 universities offering 49 disciplines are based in Great Britain. The remaining 234 universities are based Asia (Pacific), Africa, Europe, Canada, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. A panel comprising educational experts from Qatar Foundation and other Educational Consultants took part in the selection process of the various universities and fields of study.... More

Well that is very interesting indeed, the USA has just under half of the whole amount overall, that is a big amount.
