The Higher Education institute (HEI) will hold its annual Open House on June 14th & 15th, 2010 in Al-Mirqab Hall at the Four Seasons Hotel. The Open House aims to inform students and their parents about the different scholarship programs and the procedures for applying for higher education scholarships.

The Higher Education Institute (HEI) of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) in close cooperation and coordination with the Japanese Embassy in Doha organized an instructive meeting aimed of at briefing counselors and staff from the HEI on the opportunities and the many options offered by the Republic of Japan in undergraduate and postgraduate studies and explained the application process.

Recently, the supreme education council announced the new universities list according to majors, for both post graduate study and higher study(Master and Doctorate) where the new list contained 675 university and college from all over the world.search an universities

Staff from the Higher Education Institute (HEI) held a meeting with Qatar Foundation and Education City universities’ admissions officials to brief them about the institute, its role and responsibilities and the roles of the various offices in the institute.

More than forty counselors, social workers and practitioners from the Independent and Ministry of Education schools, Qatar University, ASPIRE, and Qatar Foundation will participate in the second phase of a training program aimed at improving their skills and knowledge in the advising and career development field.

The Higher Education Institute of the Supreme Education Council launched its two-day Open House for Qatari secondary school students in grades 10, 11 and 12 in all the Independent, Ministry of Education, private Arabic and International schools at the Al Dasha Hall, Sharq Village and Spa.

A high level educational delegation from United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a two-day visit to the Advising and Career Development Centre in the Higher Education Institute of the Supreme Education Council to learn more about the developments in the advising and career development field.

Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al Mannai, acting director of the Higher Education Institute of the Supreme Education Council recently met a delegation CampusFrance, a national agency responsible for promoting French in higher education institutions abroad.

Mr. Mohammed Salih Al Mannai, acting director for the Higher Education Institute, attended phase one of a ten day of counseling course arranged by the Advising and Career Centre. The event was held at the Millennium Hotel with the attendance of 39 participants representing Independent Schools, Ministry of Education Schools, Community Schools and other educational institutes.
