Permanent Committee for the school canteens

HE Mr. Saad Bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council issued a decision to form a standing committee for school canteens under the chairmanship of the Director of Shared Services Administration.

The Committee shall shortlist qualified suppliers to provide catering services from applicants of the tenders and oversee the adoption of lists of items, meals and diversity in each stage of study. The Committee will also supervise the schools’ health education programs and coordination with other government agencies and commissions with regard to schoolwork.

The mentioned committee includes among its members, the SEC, director of public facilities and services, and representatives from the Supreme Council for Health, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, and the Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology and the Private Schools Office and the Education Institute.
