General & specialized school students sit for first term exams

Nearly 6708 students from general and specialized secondary schools begin the final tests of the first term on Thursday, January 21, 2010. The exams will be conducted at 25 testing centers – 14 for girls and 11 for boys.

The Evaluation Institute of the Supreme Education Council indicated that 1674 students applied in the Sciences stream while 4448 students sit for the Arts, Mathematics and Science exams; 364 candidates participate in the Arts stream; 132 go for business studies while another 90 sit for religious studies.

Students from eight boys and four girls private schools will sit for their exams in other designated schools.
