ROTA to conduct workshops for teachers |

Type: News Articles Date: 4 February 2010 As part of its collaborations with K-12 schools in Qatar, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) is conducting workshops for teachers aimed at enabling teachers to implement iEARN projects and collaborate online with members of the iEARN.org web platform as well as developing teachers’ knowledge about project based learning (PBL) pedagogy and project planning. The workshops will be conducted during the month of March and the registration deadline is March 2, 2010.
The workshops will be conducted in two phases:
iEARN stands for the International Education and Resource Network, which is a non-profit organization made up of 25,000 schools in more than 120 countries. iEARN empowers teachers and young people to work together online using the Internet and other new communications technologies in order to connect classroom learning with real world issues. ROTA is the official representative of the iEARN program in Qatar, and is providing opportunities for students and teachers to collaborate through the network with other iEARN communities around the world.
Workshop B: iEARN-Qatar and the ROTA Knowledge Network This workshop will also allow candidates to become members of the ROTA Knowledge Network community (www.rotaknowledgenet.org), create their online Project Portfolio and benefit from the online support of the community. |
