Type: News Articles Date: 30 March 2010 The Supreme Education Council (SEC) and Qatar University (QU) signed an agreement for the adoption of high school graduates to enroll in the Bachelor of Primary Education program offered by the Faculty of Education at Qatar university. FAQs. Do you accept high school students who received their degrees during earlier years?
Yes, we accept students who received their degrees in earlier years as long as they meet acceptance criteria set by Qatar university.
Is there a minimum score for high school certificates required ?
Public schools graduates must have attained at least 75% in their secondary school certifcate , while independent schools gradates need to achieve a minimum score of 845 degrees.
Does the program prerequisite TOFEL or other relevant requirements?

What are the terms of the agreement?
The agreement contains numerous terms that verify the rights and responsibility of each party. It also includes means for assessing the performance of the trainees and the set of rules governing leaves and terms of termination.
What happens if I chose a different career path other than teaching after graduation?
This program strictly aims to qualify teachers to work in independent schools and graduates of the program are not allowed to work in any other profession until they have worked as teachers for a number of years equivalent to those of the program.
How many years do I have to work as a teacher after graduation?
Graduates of the program must work as teachers for a number of years equivalent to those of the program.
Will the SEC secure a job for me after graduation or do I have a choice to choose any appropriate school ?
The SEC will provide a job at a suitable school as per the available vacancies.
How do I apply for the scholarship?
Through the scholarship office – Higher Education Institute.
I am a registered student in the BA primary education program – am I entitled to the scholarship rewards?
Yes, all students who have joined the BA program as of the first semester of this academic year are entitled to the same remuneration retrospectively.
What happens if I was unable to continue the program?
The Supreme Education Council will review the case carefully and if the student choose to terminate the contract, she will be legally bound to settle financial matters and pay back all expenses incurred by SEC during her training years
