The Education Institute of the Supreme Education Council announced that all Cohort VII schools would utilize the electronic registration facilities of nearby schools to register students as they are yet to be equipped with the technology.

The Education Institute has directed Cohort VII school operators to take the necessary action to inform the parents about the specified schools for registration of their children.

The SEC’s Information Technology department will train Cohort VII staff on the electronic registration system used by the independent schools.
In April 2010, the SEC announced the names of the final batch operators and their respective schools, marking a unique milestone in the history of developing education in Qatar.

Effective the 2010/2011 academic year, all public schools will be transformed into independent schools. The announcement of Cohort VII schools represents the last stage in the development of education which Qatar began in the year 2002 under the name of "Education for a New Era".
