New director for the Independent Schools Office

His Excellency Mr. Saad Bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Education has appointed Ms. Haya Jehan Al Kuwari, as director of the Independent Schools Office at the Education Institute.

Ms. Kuwari is chair of the executive team that is overseeing the transformation of 77 semi-independent schools to independent schools status during the current academic year. 

The Independent Schools Office is responsible for supporting the independent schools, to supervise the establishment, and the selection of licenses, and selection of school facilities, and ensuring the availability of financial resources to ensure its success and the Independent Schools commitment to abide by the rules and regulations set forth in the contract with the Board of the SEC.
