The Education Institute held a graduation ceremony for 85 Cohort 2 teachers who completed a full year teaching assistant program at Qatar University. The event was attended by Ms. Sabah Al Haidoos, director, Prof. Hessa Sadeq, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Mr. Khalid Al Harqan, assistant director, Education Institute, graduates and their parents.

In his speech, Mr. Khalid thanked all the parties that played a role in training those graduates, and commended their important role in educating Qatar’s children. Prof. Sadeq congratulated them on their joining a profession that is much needed by the Qatari society.

Speaking for the graduates, Ibtisam Saleh said that the Supreme Education Council provided general certificate graduates with an opportunity to join the workforce after training in Qatar University for one academic year.
The graduates will join the independent schools system where they will work to support teachers in grades KG1 through Grade3.
