Staff from the Higher Education Institute (HEI) held a meeting with Qatar Foundation and Education City universities’ admissions officials. The HEI briefed the admissions officials from Georgetown University School of Foreign Services, Carnegie Mellon University, Weill Cornell Medical School, Virginia Commonwealth University, North Western University and Texas A& M University about the Institute, its role and responsibilities and the various offices in the institute.

Also on the agenda was the means of collaboration between the HEI and the various universities as well as hurdles the students face and solutions.

Mr. Mohamed Al Mannai, the acting director of the HEI insisted the Education City’s role as a substantial partner for the several opportunities it offers to Qatari students. He hoped the communication and corporation between the HEI and Education City universities would continue to grow seeing that 63% of Qatari students opt to study at Education City.

Mrs Fawzia Al Neima, Mrs. Noura Al Ansari, Mrs. Maha Al Muzafar, Dr. Khalid Mohamed Al Hassan, Mrs. Salwa Al Attiyah represented the HEI in the meeting. Dr. Denise Roberts from Qatar Foundation praised the outstanding partnership and discussed future plans. The admissions officers thanked the HEI for organizing the meeting, the outcome of which is for the Qatari students best interest.
