Office of Professional Development

The Professional Development Office is responsible for identifying and developing training programs to increase teacher understanding of curriculum content in Arabic, English, Mathematics and science the four subjects for which standards are being developed. Training will also include methods of instruction for each conent area.

Working closely with the School Support Organizations(SSOs), this Office will conduct needs assessmants at the new Independant Schools so it can tailor its training to address the specific needs of each individual school and its staff.

The purpose of professional development is to enable teachers and administrators at the Independent Schools to acquire and apply knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities to achieve their professional and school-related goals in an effort to improve student learning.
